ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sue Seif completed The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's graduate program in medical and biological illustration in 1977, and enjoyed a long career until her retirement in 2014. She is a past-president of the Association of Medical Illustrators and a recipient of the association's Lifetime Achievement Award.
After retirement from her long career in medical illustration, she started studying fine art -- a huge change from livers and stomachs! She took classes at the Fleischer Art Memorial for several years, and then started her training at Philadelphia atelier Studio Incamminati as a full-time student for two years. She loves the joy of painting the beautiful things the world shows us.
Sue lives in Philadelphia with her little rescue dog, Stevie, who has inspired her to do pet portraits in her spare time!
